Choosing the right one!
Keep these suggestions in mind when choosing the perfect Live Christmas Tree.

  • Make sure tree will fit the height of the room in which it will be standing. Remember
you need to leave room for the tree topper to be placed on the tree. So get a tree
that is about a 1/2 -1 foot shorter than the room's height.

  • Pick a tree thats needles are soft and  healthy. Dry brittle needles are not a good
sign. Shake the tree to see if there is a large amount of needle loss.

  • Look for a fairly straight tree trunk and stem. The straighter the tree the easier for
    placing in a tree stand.

  • Check for signs of insect infestation.

  • Take your time and choose a healthy beautiful Christmas Tree!!!
   Care For Live Christmas Trees

Buy or pick tree no longer than 2-3
weeks before Christmas.

Ensure a fresh cut.

Before bringing the tree indoors;
always inspect the tree for insects
and wildlife by giving the tree a shake
and a stomp. If insects are a problem
you can treat them with an indoor
insecticide.

Set tree in a stand topped up with
water to thaw over night.

Check to see if tree is drinking water
before decorating.

If tree is not drinking, make another
fresh cut.

Top up water regularly.

It is best to stand a Christmas tree
away from all heat sources such as
heaters, registers, or fireplaces.

Recycle tree in garden or at your local
recycling depot.
